Water colorist, Vera Balter, has been involved in the arts since early childhood.  Born and raised in Brooklyn New York, she recently relocated from Woodstock New York, where for the past nine years was mentored by artist and conservationist, St. Julian Fishburne. To him , Vera expresses much gratitude.

      During Vera's years of teaching Special Education, she employed various forms of art as educational vehicles.  Her own painting techniques evolved slowly and now expresses the delicacy  of her chosen medium.     Her deep awareness  of all that surrounds her is not only evident in the subject matter but through her use of color. These same elements  reveal a sense of hopefulness and vibrancy.  Each floral design suggests the  more gentle aspects of  human emotions.
